How To Care For Caesarstone Quartz Worktops

Caesarstone is one of the premium quartz worktop variants. It blends timeless luxury and modern sophistication with superior durability and strength. As expensive at it looks, Caesarstone is easy and economical to maintain. The stone requires routine, simple care to keep it at its best. It’s always recommended that only mild detergent mixed in warm water be used when cleaning Caesarstone. A mild, quality spray can also be used alternatively, for cleaning this stone and maintaining its shine.

Caring for Caesarstone:

1. Simple, Routine Maintenance

Caesarstone, and for that matter all quartz stones are virtually maintenance free. The non-porous, hard surface doesn’t require any sealing and is resistant to staining. Most of the times, simply cleaning Caesarstone worktops with mild detergent mixed in warm water and a soft scrub is enough. This can followed up with a thorough rise with plain water and then towel dried.

Dried spills and stubborn stains – Wiping up spills instantly is not possible always. As such you may be faced with problems like dried spills and stains that won’t go away with the solution of warm water and mild detergent. In such cases, a plastic putty knife can be used to scrape away the stain gently. This can be followed by wiping up the area with a damp cloth to remove any leftover stains. A no-scratch Scotch Brite scrub can also be used alternatively.

2. Temperature Tolerance

Caesarstone isn’t affected up to temperatures as high as 150 degree Celsius, which is more than the commonly preferred natural stones like limestone, marble, granite, etc. However, when subjected to sudden temperature variations, any stone be it natural or man-made, can be damaged. Hence, it’s always advised that hot pots and pans never be placed directly on it. Consider using hot pads and trivets under cooking units such as roster ovens, crock pots, frying pans, etc.

3. Resistance to Scratches

Caesarstone is extremely resistant to scratches. However, abusing the surface should be avoided by all means. Refrain from using heavy machinery or tools on your worktops.

4. Avoid Abrasive Cleaners

While Caesarstone offers great resistance to natural acidic liquids, such as lemon juice, wine, etc. there are some chemicals that are highly toxic and abrasive chemicals can damage I, for example hair dye. Steer clear of cleaners that contain methylene chloride or trichlorethane, which are used in paint strippers or removers especially. In case of accidental spillage of such abrasive chemicals, rinse the surface immediately using plain water. This will help neutralize the effect of the acid.
